To check whether your telephony service is enabled, follow the following steps
- For Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type services.msc in the Open box, and then click OK. For Windows Vista, click Start, type services.msc in the Start Search box, and then press enter.
- Double-click Telephony.
- On the General tab, click your Startup type box, if is Disabled, change it to Manual and then click OK.
